A particularly close-knit group of foreigners in Shanghai - part of the French community in this case took a mean spirited insult against them and turned it into a joke or catchphrase of sorts, taking the power away from the insult and making it work for them. An admirable response.

I was tasked to take this insult and create a poster for “La Guinguette”, a new French wine and aperitif bar in Shanghai, China owned by a French couple!
